Its just this kind of marketing that used to frustrate me.
If uninitiated, you're frightened to click on a link or leave your details in case you are then committed in some way or your computer will develop a deadly virus or someone will steal all your personal details and drain your bank account dry.
It's frustrating and creates suspicion and scepticism of home businesses because there appears to be no easy way to immediately tell the good from the bad. You're not told what is on offer in plain simple terms right from the outset.
Frustrating? Not if put into perspective.
Suspicious and Sceptical? Not any more.
That's because I understand it better now. I was able to put it all into perspective and I'd like to help you do the same.
Think of it like buying a new car. You know a salesperson is going to try to sell you one at each dealership you visit. That doesn't mean you have to buy from them and it doesn't stop you from looking elsewhere. It's the same with home businesses.
Here are my 5 tips that I hope will not only help you to find the right work from home business, but will also help you to find your new car when it comes to spending the profits from your new home business.
1. Visit several different business opportunities.
If you don't know exactly what you are looking for you wouldn't pop into the first dealership you come across and buy the first car you see. It should be the same for a home business.
2. Don't be afraid to leave your contact details.
If a car salesperson asked for your contact details, would you refuse for fear that they would use them to drain your bank account dry or that you would be committed to buying a car? No. It's done as part of the sales process and is the same for home business opportunities. Welcome contact from them. It's an opportunity to gain even more information.
3. Get as much detailed information as you possibly can.
You wouldn't buy a new car without comparing the merits of several makes and models and finding out about running costs, available extras and accessories, operating instructions and after sales service. It should be the same with your home business. Ask for more information than is already on offer.
4. Accept a demonstration and take a “test drive”.
If you were offered a demonstration and a test drive in the vehicle of your choice would you decline on the grounds that “it looks quite nice so it'll probably be alright”? With home businesses accept the invitations and attend live calls and web conferences where the business is demonstrated. This is where you will find the most information.
5. Make an informed decision.
When confronted with a short-list of vehicles to choose from you carefully examine the pro's and con's of each before making your decision. It's the same with a home business. Don't rush into making a decision.
Researching work from home businesses should not be a frustrating chore. It should be an informative and educational journey to realising your dreams or aspirations.
Keep it all in perspective and it will be just that. Happy hunting.
